Software Tester (Manual)

Key Responsibilities  

1. Test Case Preparation  

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.  
• Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data.  
• Ensure test coverage for all functional requirements.  

 
2. Test Execution  

• Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance support.  
• Execute test cases and record results accurately.  
• Identify and report defects clearly.  

 
3. Defect Management  

• Log and track bugs in defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Open Project).  
• Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.  
• Re-test resolved defects and verify fixes.  

 
4. Collaboration  

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements.  
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews.  
• Provide feedback to improve system quality and usability.  

 
5. Documentation  

• Maintain test documentation, defect reports, and testing results.  
• Prepare test summary reports for stakeholders.  

 
6. Quality Assurance Support  

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.  
• Validate that releases meet quality standards before deployment.  

 
Qualification:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.  
• 1+ years of experience in testing.  
• Experience in testing methodologies.  
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)  
• Strong attention to detail.  
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.  
• Good communication and teamwork skills.  
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
